I have known Dan and Emily for a while now and when I heard the plans for their DIY wedding I got really excited! Hearing about a small intimate day with all handmade touches to put a personal stamp on the wedding got me thinking about all the creativity that would be flowing around the wedding.
On the morning of the wedding day I spent my time with Emily in her and Dans family home which was bustling with bridesmaids, parents and Dan and Emilys two little girls, one of whom wasnt feeling too well but it wasn’t something a little calpol and excitement couldnt cure!
I think Emily was a little nervous but as the ceremony came round this seemed to subside a little and then as she walked down the isle to meet Dan you could see the calm. As I said before I have known Dan and Emily for a while and it was an absolute honour to be able to capture thier day, the ceremony especialy. So much love and emotions poured into the ceremony and the vows written by both Dan and Emily just showed how much they are meant to be together. That paired with the way Dan looks at Emily with so much love and adoration, these guys are just perfect together.
After the ceremony everyone poured out of the church into the grounds of the village hall that had been decorated by hand and its not everyday you see a table plan made to look like a Dr Dre record with all the tables named after the tracks on the record but its these little touches that make a wedding. As the sun shone everyone enjoyed drinks out in the garden before an awesome meal of mexican street food.
Later on into the evening lots of friends of Dan and Emily took to the DJ decks to keep the party in full swing after some amazing live music from Northern Souls, and had everyone dancing into the early hours.
