There’s something undeniably special about capturing a wedding at Merrydale Manor. As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen countless venues, but very few match the elegance and charm of Merrydale Manor. It’s no wonder Perrie and Ashden chose this beautiful location for their big day. With its picturesque grounds and sophisticated interiors, Merrydale Manor provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding that was as stylish as it was heartfelt.

The most exciting part of their story came in Santorini, where Ashden proposed during a private meal on a balcony overlooking the sea. One of the highlights of the reception was the cake by Cakes by Bethany. This four-tier masterpiece was a true work of art, featuring a white and green colour scheme with flowers that matched the bridal bouquet and venue decor. The cake was not only stunning to look at but also delicious—a sweet treat that was enjoyed by all.
Music played a significant role throughout the day, with Sam Scherdel serenading guests with his soulful voice during the reception. The atmosphere was both relaxed and joyful, with guests mingling and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Merrydale Manor.
The Evening: Dancing the Night Away
As the sun began to set, the evening festivities kicked off with a bang. The dance floor, provided by Luminate Events, was soon packed with guests ready to celebrate. Perrie and Ashden’s first dance was to “Amazed” by Lonestar—a song that perfectly encapsulated the love they share. The moment was magical, with the couple swaying to the music under the soft glow of lights of the venue. The Word Is Love provided a stunning light-up sign that added a touch of glamour to the evening and added a glow to the decor.
The energy in the room was electric, especially when the band DFC Experience took to the stage. Their lively performance kept the dance floor buzzing all night, with guests of all ages joining in the fun. After the confetti tunnel, we took a stroll around the venue, capturing Perrie and Ashton in some of the manor’s most picturesque spots. The serene lake provided a beautiful backdrop for some romantic shots, while the manor’s gardens offered plenty of opportunities for candid moments between the newlyweds.
