Heaton House Farm wedding photography – Vicky and Chris
“Let us start by saying Nik was AMAZING!”
I was made up when I got this review from Vicky and Chris. I loved their day, a top couple and a great venue – Heaton House Farm in Cheshire. Now, Heaton House Farm is one of my favourite venues of all time, so much so I got married there myself!
Heaton House Farm has everything a great wedding venue needs – a choice of ceremony spaces, a fab wedding team to look after you and accommodation meaning you don’t have far to go after partying all night! Vicky was a big fan of the pamper room too, it’s a really relaxing space and perfect for getting ready in (and a few mid-wedding touch ups!)
Weddings at Heaton House Farm
Tucked away on the border of Cheshire and Staffordshire, Heaton House Farm boasts incredible countryside views over three counties. Those rolling hills are the perfect backdrop for a wedding reception. Vicky and Chris fell in love with the place as soon as they set foot through the door. They loved that they could choose from four different ceremony spaces and eventually settled on saying their vows under the rustic wooden beams of the barn. It’s a beautiful space, with oak beams, sandstone walls and twinkling fairy lights. As well as big windows out to those views I can’t stop talking about!
Heaton House is surrounded by beautiful gardens, which are ideal for couple portraits. While their guests enjoyed a good old catch up the three of us braved the drizzle and headed outside for some pictures. Luckily the rain as off and on all day so we were able to duck in and out as we needed to in order to get portraits and family group photos done. Vicky and Chris were so chilled out and were more than happy for me to come and get them whenever there was a break in the weather. Eventually though blue skies appeared and everyone made their way outside to make the most of the sunshine.
Heaton House Farm documentary wedding photography
I spent most of the day, as always, documenting Vicky, Chris and their loved ones having a brilliant time. They were all so full of laughter and up for celebrating. Vicky and Chris had been hit by COVID postponements and were overjoyed to finally be getting married. Vicky declared that her favourite part of the day was finally getting to be husband and wife. I love the huge smiles on their faces when the registrar announced that they were legally married!
I’m going to leave you with a few top tips from Vicky and Chris. Then it’s on to their photos, enjoy!
1 – Your suppliers are key! Take your time choosing them and make sure you have a good relationship.
2 – It’s your day, it’s about both of you. People will give you advice, take what you need and ignore anything that isn’t you!
3- The whole day really does go by in the blink of an eye. Take some time for the two of you to just look around and appreciate everyone that is there to celebrate you both. It really is the most amazing day – enjoy it!
