14 Hours In Paris!
Who takes a day out, gets up at 4am to jump on a plane to hit Paris for a day, take part in a Paris Style Shoot then fly home only to be back and in bed before midnight. Well, me actually. When I get the offer to head to one of the most romantic cities in Europe and shoot with an incredible couple, it is just something I can’t turn down. Jumping on a plane from Manchester and then spending the day on trains and in uber’s jetting around the city to create some iconic Parisian wedding content is something you don’t say no to if, like me, you love to travel and love a challenge.
Pont Alexandre 3rd
Our first stop was to one of the most famous bridges in Paris. Constructed in the late 19th century and completed in 1900 for the Universal Exposition, held to celebrate the achievements of the French Revolution. It was named after Tsar Alexander III of Russia, as a symbol of the Franco-Russian Alliance. With four monumental stone statues adorning the bridge’s pillars, representing different artistic concepts: Fame of the Sciences, Fame of the Arts, Paris, and France. These statues contribute to the bridge’s grandeur and artistic significance. The Pont Alexandre III has served as a backdrop for numerous films, music videos, and fashion shoots. Its grandeur and timeless beauty have made it a sought-after location for capturing the essence of Paris on screen and our visit was no change on this. The bridge is often associated with romance and love. Its picturesque setting, elegant design, and stunning views of Paris make it a popular spot for wedding proposals and romantic strolls.
The Eiffel Tower
What is a trip to Paris without making the most of its most iconic monument! After a spot of lunch we took a quick taxi ride to Rue de l’université which runs parallel to the Seine River and takes you to the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Over the years, the Eiffel Tower has become an enduring cultural icon and an emblem of Paris. It attracts millions of visitors annually and our shoot day was no different, navigating the crowds we worked to get those iconic photos and everything you can see below. Moving up to the Palais Du Chaillot we found cherry blossom and even more incredible views of the Eiffel Tower. The Palais de Chaillot is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and prominent fountains. The gardens provide a serene environment for visitors to relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine River.
