Stanley House Wedding Photography – Caroline and Richard
When you meet your future bride at a Young Farmers then there is only one way to travel to your wedding – on a tractor of course!
Yes, Richard certainly arrived in style when he turned up at church in a huge green tractor. There were a lot of cheers from the gathered guests as well as a fair few shouted well wishes and toots of car horns as bemused onlookers drove past. What a way to kick off your wedding day!
After a few pints in the local pub Richard made his way back to the church to carry on greeting guests and nervously wait for his bride.
Caroline had spent a relaxed morning at home surrounded by her family and bridesmaids. I absolutely loved everyone’s reactions to seeing her in her dress for the first time. She looked incredible. Richard couldn’t take his eyes off her as she walked down the aisle towards him – and Caroline looked so happy and proud as she held onto her Dad’s arm. This was a moment she had been dreaming of since she was a young girl.
Weddings at Stanley House
Caroline and Richard loved the beautiful setting of Stanley House. It is surrounded by the stunning Ribble Valley countryside – a part of the world that is really special to them. The onsite spa was also an added bonus! Perfect for relaxing in post wedding!
While their guests made their way from the church to Stanley House Caroline, Richard and I headed over to Caroline’s Dad’s farm for some portraits. Her parents even photobombed at one point which got us all laughing!
Back at Stanley House their guests were chatting away on the lawn, having a good old catch up with each other. As soon as Caroline and Richard arrived they were engulfed in hugs. I left them to enjoy some time with their loved ones while I spent some time capturing all the antics of the reception. This is the best thing about booking a more documentary style wedding photographer for your day. You get a bit of time together for some beautiful, creative portraits and then you can enjoy your wedding reception with your guests without worrying about lots of posing.
After some emotional speeches I noticed that the sky was looking incredible. Caroline and Richard were keen for some sunset photographs so we nipped out for a few more relaxed portraits. It was another chance for them to have a breather and take some time out before the evening celebrations kicked off.
I loved being part of Caroline and Richard’s wedding at Stanley House. It was the perfect venue for them and I know they loved every minute. Here are some of my favourites…
