Willington Hall – Tory and Sean
Meet Tory and Sean, one of the loveliest couples ever! They were so keen to have a big old celebration with as many family and friends as possible that they ended up being engaged for years longer than planned and having to postpone due to COVID. It wasn’t the easiest time for them but their patience paid off and they eventually had the most amazing wedding at Willington Hall.
Weddings at Willington Hall, Cheshire
Credit must go to Tory’s Dad for their wedding venue. Over the years he has attended lots of social events at Willington Hall and always commented on how good the food is. Tory and Sean decided to check it out themselves and booked in for afternoon tea. That afternoon tea must have been fantastic as they ended up serving it for their wedding breakfast!
Willington Hall is a luxury Georgian country house in Cheshire. The boutique hotel is set within idyllic gardens and was the perfect size for Tory and Sean’s 150 guests. They were determined to celebrate with as many people as possible and who could blame that after the last few years! They both agreed that one of their favourite parts of the day was during their wedding breakfast. They looked around the room and realised that every single person was there to celebrate and share in their love. It was a really humbling and emotional moment for them both.
Documentary wedding photographer, Lancashire
Cheshire isn’t my usual stomping ground but I love travelling all over the UK for weddings and, let’s be honest, it’s not too far from Lancashire so I made it home to my own bed that night! Tory and Sean found me on social media and we met up for an engagement shoot. Sean warned me that he hates getting his photo taken but I quickly put them both at ease and we had a brilliant time. I can’t recommend an engagement shoot enough if you’re camera shy, it’s a great way for us to meet up, you can see how I work and you get some fab photos too!
Tory and Sean were married at a nearby church, it was one that Tory’s grandparents attended so held a lot of special meaning for her. It was such a beautiful and emotional ceremony. Their family played a huge part in it from doing the readings to playing Tory down the aisle and singing an Irish wedding blessing. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house by the end of it!
Once everyone had gathered at Willington Hall for their wedding reception I whisked Tory and Sean away for some portraits. Sean was a lot more relaxed this time! We weren’t away for long before I let Tory and Sean get back to enjoying themselves with family and friends whilst I documented all the fun.
Tory, Sean, what a day! I absolutely loved being part of your Willington Hall wedding. Here are my highlights.
